"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked. "Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

[Insert appropriate deity or belief system here] give me strength

Well, as you can see, I chose not to participate in the October Blogfest. Nor do I intend to NaNoWriMo. Hell, I get stressed just thinking about posting on any kind of schedule or deadline. Because writing on demand makes my head hurt.

And I already have a headache. Have had one on and off for the last week or so. At first I thought it was because of all the drinking we had been doing while celebrating the opening of our fabulous new theatre. But no. One thing we are doing in October is not drinking. And yet, the headache lingers. So I decided to stay home from work for the last two days. Not just because I had a headache. No, I also felt generally like crap. Still, today, I have a headache.

I now have two choices. One: I go see my GP. Although I don't have the telltale congestion and icky stuff coming out of my nasal cavities, I do have a propensity towards sinus infections. He will most likely prescribe an antibiotic which will do the trick. And then I will get a yeast infection. Because that's how my body likes to respond to antibiotics. Bleah.

Number two would be to assume my headaches are related to my back and therefore scheduling a massage would be in order. Which entails calling my therapist and then discovering that there are no appointments available until two weeks from tomorrow. Double bleah.

Sorry about being so pessimistic, but my head hurts. Dammit.

Anyway, hopefully in the next few days I will have an exciting picture to post right here on allison wonderland. It involves a certain theatre opening and certain people who were in attendance. This fan girl got a real thrill last Friday night and once that person who had the camera gets around to sending me the photographic evidence I will no longer be almost blue.

Congrats on the theatre opening!

I think that getting a massage is a really, really good idea. Even if you have to wait a little while.

To help prevent headaches I take a feverfew capsule every day, and to help prevent yeast infections I take an acidophulus capsule every day when I take my multivitamin. I started doing this last month when I was in the throes of crappiness, and it's actually helped a bit.

In the meantime *hugs* and I hope you feel better soon

I'm so sorry you are feeling poorly. Ditto on the acidophulus (when need be, I have a container of it that gets sprinkled on my cereal) and I do a yeast cleanse twice a year.

I say that as an upcoming thing as I've only done it once, but I will do it again as the results were so amazing.

And my mom believes that everyone should get a massage every month. It would make the world a better place.

If voting was a possibility, I would go for the doctor.
